Description détaillée
Les participants réaliseront une expérience randomisée en ligne entre sujets. L'expérience comprendra trois visites d'étude.
Lors de la première visite d'étude, les participants effectueront une tâche d'achat d'épicerie en ligne sans intervention. Les participants recevront un budget de 50 $ et seront invités à faire leurs achats comme ils le feraient normalement. Le magasin enregistrera les sélections des participants. Après avoir terminé la tâche d'achat, les participants répondront à un sondage en ligne.
Environ une semaine plus tard, les participants effectueront une deuxième visite d'étude avec les mêmes instructions. Ils seront randomisés dans 1 des 4 conditions (1) santé uniquement, 2) environnement uniquement, 3) santé et environnement combinés, 4) contrôle. Dans la condition de santé uniquement, les participants verront les étiquettes avec les notes de santé et pourront être invités à échanger leurs sélections contre des articles plus sains. Dans la condition environnementale uniquement, les participants verront les étiquettes avec des notes d'impact climatique et pourront être invités à échanger leurs sélections contre des articles plus durables. Dans les conditions de santé et d'environnement, les participants verront des étiquettes avec des notes d'impact sur la santé et le climat et pourront être invités à échanger leurs sélections contre des articles plus sains ou plus durables. Dans le groupe témoin, les participants ne verront aucune étiquette ni aucun échange. Le magasin enregistrera les sélections des participants. Après avoir terminé la tâche d'achat, les participants répondront à un sondage en ligne.
Lors de la troisième visite d'étude, les participants conserveront leur groupe assigné et seront invités à répéter les mêmes tâches que lors de la deuxième visite.

Expérimental: Swaps de santé
Les étiquettes seront des «notes nutritionnelles» pour les produits et les suggestions d'échange de remplacement seront des articles avec une meilleure note nutritionnelle.
|
Les participants verront les étiquettes de « qualité santé » sur tous les produits de l'épicerie en ligne indiquant leur caractère sain tel qu'estimé par les scores du modèle de profilage nutritionnel Ofcom du Royaume-Uni.
Les étiquettes de score de santé imiteront les étiquettes Nutri-Score, un système d'étiquetage utilisé dans certains pays européens, affichant une note codée par couleur allant de « A » (vert) à « F » (rouge) sur chaque produit.
Les produits portant les étiquettes « A » et « B » respecteront le seuil du Royaume-Uni pour les produits pouvant être commercialisés auprès des enfants et les produits portant les étiquettes «C», «D» et «F» sont moins sains que ce seuil (basé sur les tertiles de l'Ofcom). scores au sein de chaque groupe alimentaire).

Expérimental: Échanges climatiques
Les étiquettes seront des «classes climatiques» pour les produits et les suggestions d'échange de remplacement seront des articles avec une meilleure note climatique.

Les participants verront les étiquettes de «qualité climatique» sur tous les produits indiquant leur impact climatique.
L'impact climatique est calculé comme les émissions de gaz à effet de serre associées à la production du produit en équivalents de dioxyde de carbone (CO2-EQ) pour 100 g (c'est-à-dire "empreinte carbone").
Des étiquettes seront appliquées en fonction des quintiles d'empreintes de pas carbone dans chaque groupe alimentaire.
Lorsque les participants tentent d'ajouter un produit à impact élevé à leur panier (par exemple, avec un "C", "D" ou "F" Climate Label), le magasin leur offrira automatiquement des échanges à des produits climatiques plus respectueux du climat (par exemple, avec une étiquette climatique "A" ou "B").

Les participants verront à la fois les étiquettes de la santé et du climat sur tous les produits de l'épicerie en ligne.
Lorsque les participants tentent de sélectionner un produit avec un «C», «D» ou un étiquette «F» sur l'une ou l'autre dimension à leur panier, le magasin leur offrira automatiquement des échanges à des produits qui offrent une amélioration par rapport à la nourriture d'origine sur au moins 1 dimension (santé ou convivialité climatique) et ont été au moins aussi bien ou mieux sur l'autre dimension, avec le gardien supplémentaire que le magasin ne suggère jamais de produits avec un "C", "D" ou "F".

The study will asses healthfulness of participants' selections as the average Ofcom Nutrient Profiling Model score of the products the participants select in the shopping task.
The score ranges from 0 to 100, where higher scores are healthier.
