概要:
この研究に参加することを選択したすべての適格な参加者は、1回のベースライン訪問と1回のフォローアップ訪問を完了するよう求められます。 MCI 参加者は、研究への登録が確認されると、実験グループ (音楽グループ) または対照グループ (非音楽グループ) のいずれかにランダムに割り当てられます。
調査は、評価に応じて異なる場所で行われる場合があります。 スクリーニング評価は、電話および研究スタッフとの対面で行われます。 ベースライン評価とフォローアップ評価は、バイオサイエンス研究共同体 (BRC) のキャンパスとメソジスト研究所トランスレーショナル イメージング センターで行われます。
評価訪問。 関心のある個人は、ライス大学のバイオサイエンス研究共同体 (BRC) の建物であるスイート 140 で、ベースラインの採血、健康評価、認知および行動課題、社会的および感情的な健康評価のための最初の訪問を完了します。 参加者は、自分で移動するか、介護者または家族によって BRC の建物に連れて行かれます。 ベースラインおよびフォローアップのニューロ イメージングは、メソジスト研究所トランスレーショナル イメージング センターで実施されます。 さらに、参加者と介護者 (存在する場合) の社会的、身体的、および感情的な幸福は、介入の前後に一連のアンケートで評価されます。

実験的:音楽グループ
音楽グループの個人は、2回の評価訪問(介入前と介入後)を完了します。
ベースライン訪問後、彼らは1日2時間、週3日予定されている6週間のグループミュージッククラスに参加します。
デイリーミュージックワークショップは、ライスシェパードミュージックスクールに関連するミュージシャンが主導します。
毎週は困難な状態で慎重に拡大され、ワークショップは次第に洗練されています。
たとえば、最初の週のリスニングでは、インストゥルメンタルエチュードやフォークソングなど、短くて馴染みのある作品に焦点を当てます。
