Het doel van deze studie is om de werkzaamheid en veiligheid van CC-92480, bortezomib en dexamethason (480Vd) te vergelijken met pomalidomide, bortezomib en dexamethason (PVd) bij deelnemers met gerecidiveerd of refractair multipel myeloom (RRMM) die 1 tot 3 eerdere therapielijnen en die eerder lenalidomide hebben gehad.

Deelname Criteria

Onderzoekers zoeken naar mensen die aan een bepaalde beschrijving voldoen, de zogenaamde geschiktheidscriteria. Enkele voorbeelden van deze criteria zijn iemands algemene gezondheidstoestand of eerdere behandelingen.

Inclusiecriteria:

  • Deelnemer heeft gedocumenteerde diagnose van MM en meetbare ziekte, gedefinieerd als een van de volgende:

    • M-proteïne ≥ 0,5 gram per deciliter (g/dL) door serumproteïne-elektroforese (sPEP) of
    • M-proteïne ≥ 200 milligram (mg) per 24-uurs urineverzameling door urine-eiwitelektroforese (uPEP)
    • Voor deelnemers zonder meetbare ziekte in sPEP of uPEP: serum vrije lichte keten (sFLC) niveaus > 100 mg/L (10 mg/dL) betrokken lichte keten en een abnormale kappa/lambda FLC ratio.
  • Deelnemers kregen 1 tot 3 eerdere lijnen antimyeloomtherapie.
  • Deelnemers bereikten een minimale respons [MR] of beter op ten minste 1 eerdere antimyeloomtherapie.

Uitsluitingscriteria:

  • De deelnemer had progressie tijdens de behandeling of binnen 60 dagen na de laatste dosis van een proteasoomremmer.
  • Voor deelnemers met eerdere behandeling van een bortezomib-bevattend regime was de beste bereikte respons niet een minimale respons (MR) of beter, of stopte de deelnemer met bortezomib vanwege toxiciteit.
  • Deelnemer is eerder behandeld met CC-92480 of pomalidomide.

De EORTC QLQ-C30 is het meest gebruikte instrument voor kwaliteit van leven in oncologische studies. De QLQ-C30 bestaat uit 30 vragen die zijn opgenomen in 5 functionele domeinen (fysiek, rol, cognitief, emotioneel en sociaal), 9 symptoom-/andere schalen (vermoeidheid, pijn, misselijkheid en braken, kortademigheid, slapeloosheid, verlies van eetlust, obstipatie, diarree, en financiële moeilijkheden), en een enkele globale Quality of Life (QoL)/global health status score. Items op de functionele en symptoomschaal gebruiken een ruwe respons van de deelnemer van 1 tot 4, waarbij 1 = "helemaal niet" en 4 = "zeer veel". De 2 globale items bevatten antwoorden variërend van 1 "zeer slecht" tot 7 "uitstekend". De bedenktijd is 1 week. Alle domeinscores worden getransformeerd in een bereik van 0 tot 100, waarbij een hogere functionele score een gunstiger resultaat aangeeft en een hogere score op de symptoomdomeinen een minder gunstig resultaat voor de deelnemer aangeeft.
