En fase 2 randomisert, dobbeltblindet (BMS-562247 og Enoxaparin), Aktiv-kontrollert (Enoxaparin og Warfarin), Parallell-Arm, Dose-Response-studie av oral faktor Xa-hemmer BMS-562247 hos personer som gjennomgår kirurgisk erstatning Total K.

Hensikten med denne studien er å finne ut om BMS-562247 kan forhindre blodpropp i bena og lungene hos menn og kvinner etter ensidig total kneproteseoperasjon. Sikkerheten ved denne behandlingen vil også bli studert.

  • Gjennomgår elektiv ensidig total kneproteseoperasjon.
  • Villig og i stand til å gjennomgå bilateral stigende kontrastvenografi.
  • Kunne injisere (av deg selv eller omsorgsperson) studere medisiner subkutant.

Ekskluderingskriterier:

  • Kvinner i fertil alder.
  • Kvinner som er gravide eller ammer.
  • Under noen forhold kan personer som veier mer enn 300 lbs. (136 kg) og/eller kroppsmasseindeks (BMI) >=35 kg/m2
