Bevételi kritériumok:
- A betegeknek I. vagy II. típusú diabetes mellitusban kell szenvedniük.
- Klinikailag diagnosztizált pozitív szenzoros tünetei vannak, mint például zsibbadás, szúró fájdalom, égő fájdalom, sajgó fájdalom, allodynia és szúró érzés, amelyek 5 évnél nem régebbi, de 6 hónapig stabilak.
