L'obiettivo generale del presente studio è determinare gli effetti a lungo termine dell'integrazione di acido docosaesaenoico (DHA) più acido arachidonico (AA) sull'abilità cognitiva generale, sul linguaggio e sulla funzione esecutiva ed esaminare le spiegazioni genetiche degli effetti del trattamento, attraverso uno visita di studio completa con bambini e genitori della coorte sperimentale Omega Tots (NCT01576783).
