- ステージ1またはステージ2の本態性高血圧と診断された患者
- 正常な身体検査所見、心電図 (ECG) の結果、および胸部 X 線。または治験責任医師が臨床的に重要ではないと判断した異常所見
除外基準:
- 二次性高血圧または重度の高血圧
- 臨床的に重大な心血管疾患または心不全
- 現在の降圧療法の中止に対する医学的禁忌
- 1型糖尿病の病歴
