このパイロット研究の主な目的は、このアプローチの安全性を実証することです。自家末梢神経を中枢神経系に移植するために10年以上使用されている、FDAが承認した標準的な脳神経外科手術にわずかな変更を加えたものです。 そのため、この研究は被験者に最小限のリスクと最小限の不便をもたらすように設計されています。 さらに、検査パラダイムは、手術や予定された臨床 DBS 療法の実施を妨げないように戦略的に実行されます。 この研究の科学的根拠は、移植された末梢神経組織が、ドーパミン作動性ニューロンの生存と機能をサポートすることが実験的に示されている複数の成長因子を提供するのに自然に適しているということです。 この提案の中心となるのは、移植された組織が成長因子を生理学的に送達し、PDで見られる罹患したニューロンの機能を正常に回復させるだろうという仮説である。
最初の具体的な目的は、末梢神経移植片と DBS を組み合わせた外科手術の実現可能性と安全性を評価することです。 2 番目の具体的な目的は、末梢神経インプラントの長期的な臨床安全性を評価することです。

包含基準:
- STNまたはGPiのDBSを受けている
- 40歳から75歳まで
- インフォームドコンセントができる
- シネメット(カルビドパ/レボドパ)に対して陽性反応を示す
- 外科的処置に耐えることができる
除外基準:
- 被験者を STN または GPi の DBS の候補にしないあらゆる条件
- 40歳未満または75歳以上
- インフォームド・コンセントを与えることができない
- 妊娠中、授乳中、または妊娠の可能性がある女性で、研究期間中に適切な避妊方法を使用する意思がない女性
