効果的な心血管疾患(CVD)危険因子治療薬の遵守は、CVD危険因子制御の改善、入院の減少、糖尿病患者の死亡率の低下と関連しています。
しかし、多くの患者は服薬遵守が不十分であり、服薬遵守には人種/民族および社会経済的な格差が根強く存在します。
服薬アドヒアランスを改善するための介入に関する従来の臨床試験は多くの場合、リソースを大量に消費し、行動変化に対する患者レベルの障壁のみに焦点を当てています。
当然のことながら、これらの試験は服薬遵守を改善するための持続可能で費用対効果の高いアプローチには至っていません。

- 過去12か月以内にCVD危険因子治療薬の遵守が不十分であると考えられる糖尿病患者
- 過去 12 か月間に少なくとも 1 回、処方薬を調剤するために通信販売薬局を利用したことのない糖尿病患者
除外基準:
- 過去12か月以内に妊娠または認知症/外傷性脳損傷と診断された
- 無作為化時に入院中、熟練看護施設、ホスピス、または在宅医療に入院している。
