배경:
미국에서 60세 이상의 300만 명 이상이 고립성 수축기 고혈압을 앓고 있습니다. 그들은 뇌졸중, 기타 심혈관 질환 및 사망의 과도한 위험(2-3배)에 직면해 있습니다. 인구 기반 데이터에 따르면 유병률은 60-69세 연령 그룹의 약 8%에서 80세 이상의 약 20%로 증가합니다. 사용 가능한 데이터를 기반으로 이 인구의 연간 뇌졸중 발생률은 2.0%로 추정됩니다. 본격적인 임상시험은 1980년부터 1983년까지 수행된 파일럿 연구를 따랐다. 재판에서의 모집은 1985년 3월에 시작되어 1988년 1월에 끝났다. 후속 조치는 1991년 2월에 종료되었습니다. 데이터 분석은 1996년 10월까지 계속되었습니다.
디자인 내러티브:
