Bloedzuigers voor de behandeling van artrose van de knie

Enkelvoudige en herhaalde bloedzuigertherapie voor de behandeling van knieartrose in een laat stadium. Een gerandomiseerde, placebogecontroleerde vergelijkende studie
Eerdere studies hebben de vraag niet beantwoord of een herhaalde bloeding al dan niet gedurende langere tijd symptomatische verlichting van osteoartritische pijn kan bieden.
We presenteren een gerandomiseerde studie naar de effectiviteit van enkelvoudige en herhaalde bloedzuigertherapie bij patiënten met vergevorderde artrose van de knie met een grote patiëntengroep in vergelijking met een controlegroep, die beiden blind waren voor de daadwerkelijke behandelingsmodaliteit.

Deelname Criteria

Inclusiecriteria:
- Artrose van de knie
- Aanhoudende artrosesymptomen gedurende ten minste 6 maanden
- Radiografisch bewijs van artrose van de knie in een laat stadium (stadium III-IV)
- Geschiedenis van conservatieve behandeling inclusief pijnmedicatie en fysiotherapie
Uitsluitingscriteria:
- Behandeling met anticoagulantia of voorgeschiedenis van hemofilie
- Geschiedenis of aanwezigheid van reumatische aandoeningen die leiden tot secundaire artrose
- Aanwezigheid van hematologische, lever-, nier- of immunologische aandoeningen
- Insuline-afhankelijke diabetes mellitus
- Intra-articulaire injecties of systemische toediening van corticosteroïden gedurende de 3 voorgaande maanden
- Geschiedenis van operaties aan de aangedane knie in de afgelopen 3 maanden of gewrichtsvervanging
- Geschiedenis van eerdere bloedzuigertherapie
- Gebrek aan geïnformeerde toestemming
