Duitse Spondyloartritis Inception Cohort (GESPIC)

Het German Spondyloarthritis Inception cohort (GESPIC) werd in 2000 gestart als een prospectieve, longitudinale, multicentrische, landelijke studie in Duitsland bij patiënten met vroege SpA, waaronder spondylitis ankylopoetica (AS, ook bekend als radiografische axiale spondyloartritis) en niet-radiografische axiale SpA.
De doelstellingen van GESPIC zijn om meer te weten te komen over het beloop van SpA tijdens het zeer vroege stadium van de ziekte, om de uitkomst, inclusief radiografische progressie van patiënten na meerdere jaren follow-up, correct te beoordelen, om uitkomstvoorspellers te identificeren, om de kwaliteit van leven te beoordelen, functie en kosten (directe en indirecte kosten).
GESPIC is onlangs uitgebreid om patiënten te rekruteren met andere vormen van SpA / aandoeningen geassocieerd met SpA: acute anterieure uveïtis, de ziekte van Crohn en psoriasis / axiale artritis psoriatica.

Patiënten opgenomen in GESPIC moeten een definitieve klinische diagnose van axiale SpA / juveniele SpA hebben (momenteel worden alleen volwassen patiënten met radiografische axiale SpA = spondylitis ankylopoetica - AS gerekruteerd) of een definitieve diagnose van de ziekte van Crohn of een definitieve diagnose van acute anterieure uveïtis of een definitieve diagnose van artritis psoriatica met axiale betrokkenheid.

Belangrijkste opnamecriteria:
- Patiënten met een definitieve diagnose van axiale spondyloartritis of juveniele spondyloartritis.
- Patiënten met een definitieve diagnose van de ziekte van Crohn.
- Patiënten met een definitieve diagnose van acute anterieure uveïtis.
- Patiënten met definitieve diagnose van artritis psoriatica met axiale betrokkenheid.
