Inklusjonskriterier:

  • Crohns sykdom i ≥ 3 måneder ved endoskopi og histologisk undersøkelse
  • Utilstrekkelig respons eller tap av respons på kortikosteroider, immunmodulatorer og/eller biologiske terapier
  • Crohn's Disease Activity Index (CDAI) poengsum ≥ 220 og ≤ 450
  • En gjennomsnittlig daglig avføringsfrekvens ≥ 4 poeng og/eller magesmerter på ≥ 2 poeng
  • Har enkel endoskopisk poengsum for Crohns sykdom (SES-CD) score på ≥ 6 (eller SES-CD ≥ 4 hos deltakere med isolert ileal sykdom)

Ekskluderingskriterier:

  • Har en diagnose ulcerøs kolitt, ubestemt kolitt, strålingskolitt eller iskemisk kolitt, eller har strikturer med prestenotisk dilatasjon som krever prosedyreintervensjon
  • Har omfattende tynntarmsreseksjon (>100 cm) eller kjent diagnose av korttarmsyndrom, eller krever total parenteral ernæring
  • Nåværende stomi, ileal-anal poseanastomose eller fistel
