Primary Outcome Measures

Outcome Measure
Measure Description
Time Frame
KINDL Quality of Life Scale - Parent Form
Time Frame: Day 0- Mounth 2

The KINDL Quality of Life Scale - Parent Form was developed by Ravens-Sieberer and Bullinger (1998). The Turkish validity and reliability study of the "Kid-KINDL Quality of Life Scale" was conducted by Eser et al. (2008), and the Turkish validity and reliability of the Parent Form for children aged 8-16 years was established by Baydur et al. (2007).

The Parent Form measures the quality of life of children and adolescents. The scale consists of 24 items and 6 subscales and is rated on a 5-point Likert scale. The six subscales are physical well-being, emotional well-being, self-esteem, family, friends, and school. Each subscale includes 4 items. Subscale scores are calculated separately, and the total quality of life score is obtained by summing all subscale scores. Items 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 15, 16, 20, and 24 are reverse-coded. Scores are calculated by summing item responses and transforming them to a scale ranging from 0 to 100. Higher scores indicate better quality of life.
