  • Type 2 diabetes
  • HbA1c > - 7,0 % og < - 10,0 %
  • Gennemsnitlig serumtriglycerid < - 600 mg/dL
  • Body mass index < - 41 kg/m2
  • Fastende c-peptid > - 1,0 ng/ml

Ekskluderingskriterier:

  • Anamnese med myokardieinfarkt (MI)
  • koronar angioplastik eller bypasstransplantat(er)
  • klapsygdom eller reparation
  • ustabil angina pectoris
  • forbigående iskæmisk anfald (TIA), cerebrovaskulært anfald eller cerebrovaskulær ulykke (CVA) inden for 6 måneder
  • Kongestiv hjertesvigt NYHA klasse III og IV
  • Ukontrolleret hypertension
