この臨床研究は、106 の研究センターで実施された、自閉症、アスペルガー障害、または PDD-NOS の小児科外来患者を対象とした 48 週間の多施設共同多国籍非盲検延長試験でした。 以下の場合、患者はこの長期延長試験に適格でした。

先行研究の盲検を維持するために、MEM-MD-68 (NCT01592747) に参加した患者は、6 週間の二重盲検投与でこの研究を開始し、その間、すべての患者は最大目標用量まで滴定されるか、そのまま維持されました。 これに続いて、最大 42 週間の非盲検投与が行われました。
