この研究は無作為化対照として実施されました。
これには、2020 年 5 月から 2020 年 8 月の間に訓練研究病院で生まれた正期産新生児が含まれていました。
この研究は、合計 100 人の新生児で、実験用に 50 人、対照群用に 50 人で完了しました。
かかとのランスのプロセス中、実験グループの新生児は、プロセスの10分前にかぎ針編みのタコを届けられ、プロセスの10分後にタコに触れさせました.
対照群の新生児は、介入なしでプロセスを経験しました。
データ収集に関しては、「新生児識別フォーム」、「新生児-乳児疼痛スケール(NIPS)」、および「観察フォーム」が利用されました。

新生児がかぎ針編みのタコを出産し、かぎ針編みのタコを出産しなかったヒールランス手術の前、最中、および後に計算された新生児幼児疼痛スケールスコア。
これは、正期産児および未熟児に実施された介入によって生じる痛みを評価するために開発された 6 項目の尺度です。
スケールの採点は、5 つの行動分類 (模倣、泣き声、手足の動き、覚醒状態) と 1 つの生理学的パラメーター (呼吸の種類) を評価することによって実現されました。
時間がかかりすぎ、挿管された乳児の評価が困難です。
挿管されていない乳児の痛みを伴う状態に適しています。
合計スコアが計算されます。
スケールの最低スコアは 0 です。最高は 7 で、3+ スコアは痛みの存在を示します。
