- Ondertekend toestemmingsformulier van een wettelijke voogd

Spot fotoscreener
Geautomatiseerde vision-screener: Spot Vision Screener VS 100, Welch-Allyn.
Deze photoscreener is een draagbaar apparaat dat gebruik maakt van infrarood licht.
Het is gebouwd om amblyogene risicofactoren te detecteren.
Allereerst produceert de spot-fotoscreener een geluid dat de aandacht van het kind trekt en hem helpt zijn blik te verplaatsen naar het apparaat dat op 1 meter voor hem wordt gehouden.
De spot evalueert vervolgens op brekingsfouten, anisocorie, strabisme, ptosis en media-opaciteit.
De oftalmologische evaluatie bestaat uit de meting van de gezichtsscherpte, ooguitlijning, voorste en achterste segment.
De patiënt zal cycloplegisch worden gemaakt met cycloplegische druppels en zal worden gebroken om een cycloplegische refractie te verkrijgen.
Dit zal zijn brekingsfout bepalen.

Aantal patiënten met significante oftalmologische pathologieën in een Haïtiaanse pediatrische populatie

De epidemiologie van zichtproblemen zal geëvalueerd worden in een steekproef van Haïtiaanse kinderen.
Het oogheelkundig onderzoek wordt als abnormaal beschouwd als het een significante oftalmologische pathologie aangeeft.
Een significante oftalmologische pathologie wordt gedefinieerd als een significante brekingsfout, een significant scheelzien of een significante media-opaciteit volgens de 2013 American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS) Guidelines for automated preschool vision screening.
Een oftalmologische pathologie wordt ook als significant beschouwd in gevallen van ernstige oftalmologische pathologieën (xeroftalmie, trachoom, cataract >1 mm, glaucoom, prematuriteitsretinopathie, retinoblastoom).

Gevoeligheid, specificiteit, positief voorspellende waarde en negatief voorspellende waarde van de abnormale geautomatiseerde zichtscreening met de photoscreener in vergelijking met de abnormale screening van het oogheelkundig onderzoek volgens de criteria van de AAPOS-richtlijnen (gouden standaard).
Een significante oftalmologische pathologie wordt gedefinieerd als een significante brekingsfout, een significant scheelzien of een significante media-opaciteit volgens de 2013 American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS).
De resultaten van de test, normaal versus abnormaal, zullen worden vergeleken.
