- Een persoon komt in aanmerking om een controlepersoon te zijn als zijn/haar leeftijd 18 jaar of ouder is.
Myositis Remissie Controlegroep
- Definitieve of waarschijnlijke PM of DM volgens de criteria van Bohan en Peter.
- PM-patiënten moeten ofwel een myositis-geassocieerd auto-antilichaam bezitten of een beoordeling ondergaan voor bevestiging van de PM-diagnose door consensus van twee experts (Aggarwal of Oddis) om ervoor te zorgen dat niet-PM-patiënten niet worden ingeschreven. Deze stap is nodig omdat er bekende imitaties van PM zijn.
- Leeftijd is groter dan of gelijk aan 18 jaar
- Remissie van myositis zoals gedefinieerd door een globale activiteitsscore van de ziekte van myositis <1 op de MDAAT en geen nieuwe immunosuppressieve of glucocorticoïde therapie of dosisverandering binnen een jaar.

- Een bestaande diagnose van een CTD
- Een mogelijke immuungecompromitteerde toestand, bijvoorbeeld behandeling met immunosuppressiva of anti-afstotingsmedicatie of een diagnose van een immuundeficiëntieziekte
Myositis Remissie Controlegroep:
- Juveniele DM of PM, myositis in overlap met een andere bindweefselziekte, kanker-geassocieerde myositis, inclusielichaam-myositis of enige andere niet-immuungemedieerde myopathie.
- Ernstige spierbeschadiging gedefinieerd als een baseline globale spierbeschadigingsscore op de MDI (Myositis Damage Index) van meer dan of gelijk aan vijf centimeter op een VAS van tien centimeter.
- Patiënten met een maligniteit binnen drie jaar na screening (behalve basaalcelcarcinoom of plaveiselcelcarcinoom van de huid.
- Ongecontroleerde diabetes, lever- of nierziekte.

Myositis in remissie
Onderwerpen die in remissie zijn met hun myositis-diagnose.
|
Tien patiënten (vier met polymyositis, zes met dermatomyositis) uit onze database die worden gevolgd in het Myositis Centrum.
We zullen serum, PBMC's en RNA-monsters verzamelen bij baseline en na zes maanden.
Remissie wordt gedefinieerd als een globale myositis-ziekteactiviteitsscore van minder dan of gelijk aan 1 op de MDAAT-beoordelingen zonder gebruik van nieuwe immunosuppressiva of glucocorticoïden en zonder verhoging van de dosis van een van beide in het voorgaande jaar.

De International Myositis Assessment & Clinical Studies (IMACS) definitie van verbetering: Drie van elk van de zes kernsetmetingen verbeterden met meer dan of gelijk aan twintig procent, met niet meer dan twee kernsetmetingen met meer dan of gelijk aan vijfentwintig procent .

Dit criterium levert een continue verbeteringsscore op die gemakkelijker kan worden geëxtrapoleerd naar individuele respons bij proefpersonen, waardoor correlatie met basislijn en longitudinale immunologische markers bij deze proefpersonen mogelijk is.
