Evaluatie van op mindfulness gebaseerde zelfzorgprogramma's ter preventie van burn-out bij eerstelijnszorgverleners: psychologische, inflammatoire en epigenetische effecten
Het burn-outsyndroom is een van de grootste uitdagingen voor gezondheidsstelsels wereldwijd.
Deze studie streeft naar het evalueren van de haalbaarheid en effectiviteit van een op mindfulness gebaseerd zelfzorgprogramma van 8 versus 2 weken op burn-outsymptomen en psychologische en biologische variabelen.

De ontwikkeling van getrapte zorginterventies maakt de ontwikkeling mogelijk van nieuwe strategieën binnen op mindfulness gebaseerde benaderingen, klassiek beschreven als een wekelijkse verbintenis van twee uur die acht weken duurt.
Dergelijke benaderingen zouden grotere en gestratificeerde groepen kunnen bereiken, geschikter voor gebruik in de context van het Braziliaanse gezondheidssysteem.
Voor dergelijke evaluaties zullen de onderzoekers een 3-armige gerandomiseerde klinische proefopzet gebruiken, met sociodemografische en arbeidsvariabelen, zoals leeftijd, geslacht, aantal nakomelingen, naleving van het programma, naleving van de mindfulness-praktijken, Burnout Clinical Subtype Questionnaire -( BCSQ-36), Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI-GS), Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS), Freiburg Mindfulness Inventory aangepast voor Brazilië (FMI-Br-13), Five-Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ-Br).
DNA-methylering zal worden gemeten door middel van methylase-reactie, en BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor) zal worden gekwantificeerd door middel van ELISA-sandwich.
Het primaire resultaat is de effectiviteit van dergelijke programma's op verschillende klinische subtypes van burn-outsymptomen (hectisch, onderbelast en uitgeput).
Het secundaire resultaat zal zijn opmerkzaamheidsniveaus, en therapietrouw aan het programma en aan de mindfulnessbeoefening, en op ontsteking en epigenetische variabelen.

Inclusiecriteria:
- Actieve eerstelijnszorgverleners
Uitsluitingscriteria:
- Acute ziekte (lichamelijk of mentaal)
- Schizofrenie of andere psychotische symptomen
- Gelijktijdig gebruik van medicatie die aandachts-, cognitieve of concentratiestoornissen veroorzaakt
- Mindfulness of andere contemplatieve technieken hebben beoefend in de voorgaande 12 maanden van de studie.
