De impact van maaltijdtiming op neurovasculaire controle bij volwassenen

Gezonde volwassenen ervaren een verlaging van de bloeddruk 's nachts met 10-20% in vergelijking met de bloeddruk overdag. 20-40% van de volwassenen van middelbare leeftijd vertoont echter geen verlaging van de bloeddruk. Abnormale bloeddrukpatronen zijn gekoppeld aan slaapstoornissen, hypertensie en geassocieerd met een verhoogd cardiovasculair risico en mortaliteit. Bovendien worden abnormale dagelijkse bloeddrukpatronen in verband gebracht met verminderde neurovasculaire controle van de bloedsomloop, wat bijdraagt aan een verhoogd risico op hypertensie, beroerte en hart- en vaatziekten. Belangrijk is dat midlife de kritieke periode is voor het implementeren van interventies om toekomstige hart- en vaatziekten te voorkomen of uit te stellen. Recente gegevens tonen aan dat tijdgebonden voeding de bloeddrukpatronen kan normaliseren. Het algemene doel van deze studie is om te bepalen of tijdgebonden voeding de bloeddrukpatronen normaliseert en de neurovasculaire controle verbetert.
De onderzoeksdoelen zijn:
- Om het effect van maaltijdtiming op bloeddrukpatronen bij volwassenen van middelbare leeftijd te bepalen.
- Om het effect van maaltijdtiming op neurovasculaire controle bij volwassenen van middelbare leeftijd te bepalen.

Beschrijving
Inclusiecriteria:
- BMI ≤ 34 kg/m2
- Niet roken
- Sedentair of recreatief actief
- ≤ 2 alcoholische dranken per dag
- Vrouwelijke proefpersonen: perimenopauzaal/postmenopauzaal
Uitsluitingscriteria:
- Geschiedenis of bewijs van lever-, nier-, hematologische, perifere vasculaire ziekte of beroerte / neurovasculaire ziekte, diabetes, ongecontroleerde hypertensie, slaapapneu
- Over medicijnen die worden gebruikt om de hierboven genoemde ziekten te behandelen/beheersen
- Nachtdiensten werken
- Klinisch gediagnosticeerde angst of depressie
- Zwanger of probeert zwanger te worden
- Significante chirurgische geschiedenis
- Andere significante medische aandoeningen naar goeddunken van de onderzoeker

Experimenteel: Tijdgebonden voeding
Controle (basislijn): bloeddruk en neurovasculaire controle zullen worden gemeten. Post-interventie: bloeddruk en neurovasculaire controle zullen worden gemeten. |
Nadat de basislijnmetingen zijn voltooid, schrijven de deelnemers zich in voor een tijdgebonden voedingsinterventie.
Deelnemers wordt gevraagd om de tijd waarin ze elke dag eten te beperken tot 10 uur en de resterende 14 uur te vasten.
Deelnemers wordt ook gevraagd om hun laatste maaltijd van de dag ten minste 2 uur voor het slapen gaan op te eten.
