Hypofraksjonert protonstrålebehandling for prostatakreft med lav og middels risiko (PR07)

En utvidet fase II-studie av hypofraksjonert dose-intensiv bildeveiledet protonstrålebehandling for adenokarsinom i prostata med lav og middels risiko
Formålet med denne studien er å gi et kortere forløp (5 ½-6 uker) med protonstråling som har like lite bivirkninger på normalt blære- og rektalvev som det vanlige lengre forløpet (8 uker) med protonstråling, uten å redusere sjansen. å drepe prostatakreftceller.

Inklusjonskriterier:
- Prostatakreft.
- Gleason scoret 2-6 eller 7.
- PSA ≤ 20 ng/ml.
Ekskluderingskriterier:
- Tidligere prostatakreftoperasjon eller bekkenstråling.
- Tidligere/samtidig systemisk kjemoterapi for prostatakreft.
- Aktiv inflammatorisk tarmsykdom (Crohns sykdom, divertikulitt eller ulcerøs kolitt) som påvirker endetarmen.
- Historie om hofteprotese.
- Tidligere intrapelvic kirurgi.
- Tar Saw Palmetto eller metotreksat og kan ikke eller vil ikke slutte å bruke det under stråling.
- Mottar kontinuerlig og pågående antikoagulasjon med Warfarin natrium (Coumadin), Clopidogrel bisulfate (Plavix), dabigatran etexilat mesylat (Pradaxa), enoxaparin natrium (Lovenox), eller aspirin/er dipyridamol (Aggrenox).
