Radiothérapie hypofractionnée à protons pour le cancer de la prostate à risque faible et intermédiaire (PR07)

Une étude élargie de phase II sur la radiothérapie guidée par image à dose intense hypofractionnée pour l'adénocarcinome de la prostate à risque faible et intermédiaire
Le but de cet essai est de donner un traitement plus court (5 ½ à 6 semaines) de rayonnement protonique qui a aussi peu d'effets secondaires sur les tissus normaux de la vessie et du rectum que le traitement habituel plus long (8 semaines) de rayonnement protonique, sans diminuer le risque de tuer les cellules cancéreuses de la prostate.

Critère d'intégration:
- Cancer de la prostate.
- Gleason marque 2-6 ou 7.
- PSA ≤ 20 ng/ml.
Critère d'exclusion:
- Antécédents de chirurgie du cancer de la prostate ou de radiothérapie pelvienne.
- Chimiothérapie systémique antérieure/concurrente pour le cancer de la prostate.
- Maladie intestinale inflammatoire active (maladie de Crohn, diverticulite ou rectocolite hémorragique) affectant le rectum.
- Antécédents de remplacement de la hanche.
- Chirurgie intrapelvienne antérieure.
- Prendre Saw Palmetto ou du méthotrexate et ne pas pouvoir ou ne pas vouloir interrompre ses utilisations pendant la radiothérapie.
- Recevoir une anticoagulation continue et actuelle avec de la warfarine sodique (Coumadin), du bisulfate de clopidogrel (Plavix), du mésylate de dabigatran etexilate (Pradaxa), de l'énoxaparine sodique (Lovenox) ou de l'aspirine/er dipyridamole (Aggrenox).
