Hensikten med denne studien er å evaluere effektiviteten, sikkerheten og toleransen til Afimetoran hos deltakere med aktiv systemisk lupus erythematosus (SLE). Inklusjonskriterier:

  • Kvalifisere som å ha systemisk lupus erythematosus (SLE), i henhold til SLE International Collaborating Clinics (SLICC) klassifiseringskriterier ≥ 12 uker før screeningbesøket
  • Test positiv, som bestemt av sentrallaboratoriet, for minst ett av følgende lupusrelaterte autoantistoffer på tidspunktet for screening: antinukleært antistoff ≥ 1:80, anti-dobbeltstrenget deoksyribonukleinsyre (dsDNA) antistoff, eller anti-Smith antistoff .
  • Ha en total SLEDAI-score (Hybrid Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Disease Activity Index) ≥ 6 poeng og klinisk Hybrid SLEDAI-score ≥ 4 poeng med leddinvolvering og/eller utslett

Ekskluderingskriterier:

  • Aktiv alvorlig lupus nefritt (LN) vurdert av etterforskeren
  • Aktive eller ustabile nevropsykiatriske lupus manifestasjoner definert av Hybrid SLEDAI
