Inclusiecriteria:

  • Kwalificeren als systemische lupus erythematosus (SLE), volgens de classificatiecriteria van de SLE International Collaborating Clinics (SLICC) ≥ 12 weken vóór het screeningsbezoek
  • Test positief, zoals bepaald door het centrale laboratorium, voor ten minste één van de volgende lupus-gerelateerde auto-antilichamen op het moment van screening: antinucleair antilichaam ≥ 1:80, anti-dubbelstrengs deoxyribonucleïnezuur (dsDNA) antilichaam of anti-Smith antilichaam .
  • Een totale Hybrid Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Disease Activity Index (SLEDAI)-score van ≥ 6 punten en een klinische Hybride SLEDAI-score van ≥ 4 punten hebben met gewrichtsaandoening en/of huiduitslag

Uitsluitingscriteria:

  • Actieve ernstige lupus nefritis (LN) zoals beoordeeld door de onderzoeker
  • Actieve of onstabiele neuropsychiatrische lupusmanifestaties gedefinieerd door de Hybrid SLEDAI
  • Diagnose van gemengde bindweefselziekte waarbij de overheersende diagnose niet SLE is
  • Antifosfolipidensyndroom
