ACT para Reduzir a Morbilidade e a Mortalidade em Doentes de Transplante de Células Estaminais Hematopoiéticas (HCT) (ACTivate)
Este estudo é um ensaio clínico controlado randomizado de fase 2 e multicêntrico para testar a aplicação da Terapia de Aceitação e Compromisso (ACT) em pacientes de HCT.
A ACT é uma intervenção de terapia cognitivo-comportamental baseada em evidências que enfatiza a flexibilidade psicológica e os comportamentos, ajudando os pacientes transplantados a concentrarem-se em ações que possam ajudar a manter uma atividade física adequada, apesar do desconforto físico e emocional.

Critérios de Inclusão do Paciente:
- Capacidade do participante de compreender este estudo e disponibilidade do participante para assinar um consentimento informado por escrito. NOTA: Consentimento remoto/eletrónico via REDCap permitido de acordo com a política e aprovação do IRB.
- Disposição declarada para cumprir todos os procedimentos do estudo e considerações de estilo de vida, e disponibilidade para a duração do estudo
- Plano de submeter-se a um TCH alogénico em aproximadamente 30 dias
- Homens e/ou mulheres com idades entre 18 e 80 anos
- Acordo em aderir às Considerações de Estilo de Vida durante toda a duração do estudo
- Acesso aos recursos necessários para participar numa intervenção baseada em tecnologia (ou seja, computador, smartphone, acesso à internet). NOTA: Será fornecido um smartphone aos participantes, se necessário.
- Capaz de ler/escrever inglês ou espanhol (pois não temos intervencionistas de ACT treinados noutras línguas)

Critérios de Exclusão do Paciente:
- Cuidador não disposto a inscrever-se (como padrão de cuidados, todos os pacientes de TCH são obrigados a ter um cuidador, mas os cuidadores podem recusar-se a participar neste estudo, o que tornaria o paciente inelegível para este estudo)
- Diagnosticado com uma doença psiquiátrica ou encontra-se numa situação social que limitaria o cumprimento dos requisitos do estudo
- Participação simultânea noutro estudo de investigação de intervenção comportamental.
- Restrições de atividade que limitem a capacidade de se envolver em atividade física intensa
Critérios de Exclusão do Cuidador:
- Paciente não disposto a inscrever-se
Diagnosticado com uma doença psiquiátrica ou encontra-se numa situação social que limitaria o cumprimento dos requisitos do estudo
• Participação simultânea noutro estudo de investigação de intervenção comportamental.

Os participantes no braço ACTivate irão assistir às sessões ACTivate.
|
As sessões ACTivate baseiam-se em ACT e treinam competências de flexibilidade psicológica para ajudar pacientes e cuidadores a aderir às recomendações de atividade física e nutrição face a um percurso de tratamento incerto e difícil, efeitos secundários e complicações.
As sessões serão realizadas em conjunto (incluindo tanto o paciente como o cuidador).
Os intervencionistas serão profissionais de psicologia com mestrado.
Todas as sessões serão realizadas remotamente e gravadas em áudio.
