男性患者将使用适当的疗法来减少精液中的病毒。
精液将经过专门清洗,以减少精子的病毒污染。
首先通过逐步梯度离心将精子与白细胞和其他精液成分分离。
活动精子将通过上游步骤与所得沉淀分离,在该步骤中,洗涤过的精子被精子迁移到其中的新鲜培养基覆盖。
最终的精子悬浮液将被储存,同时通过逆转录聚合酶链反应 (RT-PCR) 进行 HIV 检测。

夫妇必须:
- 证明安全的性行为
- 了解伴侣的艾滋病病毒感染状况
- 被告知此程序和替代方法的风险,包括捐助者授精
- 有能力提供知情同意
- 被转诊或自行转诊给 Schust 医生进行不孕不育治疗
女性必须:
- 18-38岁
- 在 IUI 周期之前有正常的月经周期
- HIV、淋病、衣原体、梅毒、乙型肝炎和丙型肝炎呈阴性
- 进行标准的不孕症评估并成为宫腔内人工授精的候选人
男性必须:
- 至少年满 18 岁
- 是 HIV 血清阳性
