这是一项为期 5 年的平行组、双盲、安慰剂对照试验,用于预防 3 至 7 岁(包括 30 至 78 个月)儿童(6-18 个月大)的 WLRI 风险增加哮喘。
审判将分为2个时期。
在初始治疗期间(研究的第一年和第二年),参与者将连续两年每月接受 Broncho-Vaxom®(3.5 毫克)或安慰剂治疗十天。
这段时间将允许在参与者接受治疗时观察关键的次要结果。

- 通过书面文件充分完成知情同意过程。 参与者的合法代表必须提供适当的书面知情同意书。 由于参与者的年龄,将不会使用同意书;但是,如果当地机构审查委员会 (IRB) 要求,对于研究后期参与者年龄较大时的程序,将获得适合年龄的同意。
- 年龄:随机化时 6-18 个月(含),这意味着进入一个月磨合期时 5-17 个月(含)。 在随机分配时,至少有一半已登记的儿童年龄在 6 至 12 个月之间。
- 参与者将至少满足以下一项标准,这些标准与喘息性呼吸道疾病和哮喘的风险增加有关:a) 父母有哮喘病史 - 或 - b) 医生诊断参与者患有特应性皮炎 - 或 - c) 4 岁或以上的血缘兄弟姐妹经医生诊断为哮喘。

排除标准:
- 参与者之前的 WLRI 集数可能不超过两次。
- 参与者可能没有任何 SWLRI 事件。
- 参与者可能没有医生对哮喘的诊断。
- 参与者不得患有全身性疾病(过敏除外),包括(但不限于)反复发作、需要药物治疗的慢性胃食管反流 (GER)、主要先天性异常、身体和智力发育迟缓、脑瘫、胸部手术、肺结核或其他疾病慢性感染、原发性或继发性免疫缺陷、胃肠道畸形或疾病或心脏疾病(血液动力学无关紧要的房间隔缺损 (ASD)、室间隔缺损 (VSD) 或良性心脏杂音除外)。
- 参与者不得早于妊娠 36 周出生。
- 参与者在新生儿期接受氧气的时间可能不超过 5 天,或者接受机械通气但在小手术麻醉期间排除通气。
- 参与者可能没有明显的神经发育迟缓。
- 参与者的体重不得低于第 3 个百分位。
- 参与者可能没有任何其他慢性肺病;例如 早产儿慢性肺病 (CLDP) 或囊性纤维化。
- 参与者可能没有任何需要插管和机械通气的危及生命的呼吸道疾病病史。
- 参与者的家人可能不会在研究开始后的 3 年内搬出研究区域。
- 参与者可能在随机分组前的一个月内从未因呼吸道相关疾病或其他病症接受过吸入或全身性皮质类固醇治疗。
- 参与者可能从未接受过免疫治疗。
- 参与者可能从未接受过静脉注射。 丙种球蛋白或全身免疫抑制剂。
