- 居住在密苏里州或伊利诺伊州。

排除标准:
- COVID-19 感染前有嗅觉障碍史
- 使用专门用于治疗嗅觉功能障碍的伴随疗法
- 嗅觉功能障碍病史超过 12 个月
- 已知存在鼻息肉、既往鼻窦炎或前颅骨手术
- 哮喘和慢性阻塞性肺病等合并症对茶碱的依赖
- 对茶碱或其他甲基黄嘌呤过敏反应史
- 神经退行性疾病史(即。 阿尔茨海默氏痴呆、帕金森病、路易体痴呆、额颞叶痴呆)
- 怀孕或哺乳的母亲
