ECA de Promoción de la Lactancia Materna y Síndrome Metabólico Infantil
El objetivo general del estudio PROBIT es investigar la influencia de una intervención aleatoria de promoción de la lactancia materna diseñada para aumentar la duración y la exclusividad de la lactancia materna ("la intervención de promoción de la lactancia materna") en el desarrollo de resultados de salud maternoinfantil.
La hipótesis es que la aleatorización a la intervención se asociará con menor adiposidad infantil, menor riesgo de asma y atopia, mejor función pulmonar y mejores resultados cognitivos.
