Beschrijving
Inclusiecriteria:
- Kinderen met CP in de leeftijd van 7-16 jaar die voldoende cognitie hebben om een krachttrainingsprogramma te volgen
Uitsluitingscriteria:
- niet-ambulante kinderen of kinderen die niet zelfstandig 5 meter kunnen lopen (zonder loophulpmiddel),
- operatie aan de onderste ledematen binnen 12 maanden,
- botox binnen 6 maanden,
- orale spierverslappende medicatie
- aanzienlijke leermoeilijkheden
- Elke gelijktijdige aandoening die gecontra-indiceerd zou zijn voor progressieve weerstandstraining, zoals onbeheerde hoge bloeddruk, cardiale pathologie of ongecontroleerde epilepsie
- Waar bij de nulmeting geen zwakte wordt gevonden in de onderzochte spieren
- gelijktijdige of binnen 6 maanden betrokkenheid bij enig ander onderzoek
- Geen toestemming voor melding huisarts.

EXPERIMENTEEL: progressieve weerstandsoefening voor thuis
|
Duur 8 weken; twee weken gewenning aan het interventieprotocol zonder weerstand (voor gewenning en neurale aanpassing) gevolgd door 6 weken progressieve resistentie (PR).
De drie keer per week PR-training is een oefenprogramma voor thuis met tweewekelijkse huisbezoeken om de PR-training te volgen/voortgang.
Het omvat een warming-up en cooling-down van 4 minuten met één oefening gericht op de heupabductoren en één op de laterale rotators.
Het voorschrijven van oefeningen volgt de bestaande richtlijnen voor progressieve PR-training.
Ouders krijgen begeleiding van de onderzoeker aan de hand van duidelijke uitleg in woord en beeld in een logboek.
Logboeken blijken naleving, dosering en motivatie te vergemakkelijken.
