Descrizione
Criterio di inclusione:
- Bambini con PC di età compresa tra 7 e 16 anni con cognizione sufficiente per intraprendere un programma di allenamento della forza
Criteri di esclusione:
- bambini non deambulanti o incapaci di camminare per 5 metri autonomamente (senza ausilio per la deambulazione),
- chirurgia degli arti inferiori entro 12 mesi,
- botox entro 6 mesi,
- farmaco miorilassante orale
- notevole difficoltà di apprendimento
- Qualsiasi condizione concomitante che sarebbe controindicata all'allenamento di resistenza progressiva come ipertensione non gestita, patologia cardiaca o epilessia incontrollata
- Dove al basale la valutazione non trova debolezza nei muscoli in esame
- coinvolgimento concomitante o entro 6 mesi in qualsiasi altro studio di ricerca
- Mancato consenso alla notifica al Medico di Medicina Generale (GP).

SPERIMENTALE: esercizio di resistenza progressiva a casa
|
Durata 8 settimane; due settimane di familiarizzazione con il protocollo di intervento senza resistenza (per familiarizzazione e adattamento neurale) seguite da 6 settimane di resistenza progressiva (PR).
L'allenamento PR tre volte alla settimana sarà un programma di esercizi a casa con visite a domicilio quindicinali per monitorare/progredire l'allenamento PR.
Comprende 4 minuti di riscaldamento e defaticamento con un esercizio mirato agli abduttori dell'anca e uno ai rotatori laterali.
La prescrizione degli esercizi seguirà le linee guida esistenti per l'allenamento PR progressivo.
Ai genitori verrà insegnata la supervisione da parte del ricercatore utilizzando spiegazioni chiare con parole e immagini in un diario di bordo.
È stato scoperto che i registri facilitano la compliance, il dosaggio e la motivazione.
