Inclusiecriteria:

  • Reumatoïde artritis (RA) diagnose minder dan 6 maanden
  • CRP > 3 mg/L of erytrocytsedimentatiesnelheid (ESR) ≥ 28 mm/u
  • Minstens 3 gezwollen en 3 gevoelige gewrichten
  • Anti-gecitrullineerde eiwit-antilichamen (ACPA) positief

Uitsluitingscriteria:

  • Risico op tuberculose
  • Heb een acute infectie
  • Een chronische of terugkerende bacteriële of ernstige latente virale infectie hebben
  • Geschiedenis van maligniteiten in de afgelopen 5 jaar behalve plaveiselhuid, basale huid of cervicaal carcinoom
  • Eerdere behandeling met conventionele of biologische ziektemodificerende antireumatische geneesmiddelen (DMARD)

Simple Disease Activity Index (SDAI) wordt berekend met behulp van de volgende formule: TJC + SJC + PGA + MDGA + CRP (TJC = aantal pijnlijke gewrichten van 28 gewrichten, SJC = aantal gezwollen gewrichten van 28 gewrichten, PGA = globale beoordeling door patiënt op een visueel analoge schaal 0-10 cm, MDGA = globale beoordeling door de arts op een visueel analoge schaal 0-10 cm, en CRP = c-reactief proteïne in mg/dL) SDAI Remissie wordt gedefinieerd als SDAI <= 3,3.

Met behulp van een logistisch regressiemodel dat de behandelingsarm, randomisatiestratificatiefactor en baseline SDAI als continue variabele en puntschatting van aangepaste OK's omvat, werd een overeenkomstig 95%-BI en p-waarde verstrekt. SDAI totaal scorebereik: 0 tot 86. SDAI <= 3,3 geeft ziekteremissie aan en SDAI >26 = hoge ziekteactiviteit.

Simple Disease Activity Index (SDAI) wordt berekend met behulp van de volgende formule: TJC + SJC + PGA + MDGA + CRP (TJC = aantal pijnlijke gewrichten van 28 gewrichten, SJC = aantal gezwollen gewrichten van 28 gewrichten, PGA = globale beoordeling door patiënt op een visueel analoge schaal 0-10 cm, MDGA = globale beoordeling door de arts op een visueel analoge schaal 0-10 cm, en CRP = c-reactief proteïne in mg/dL) SDAI Remissie wordt gedefinieerd als SDAI <= 3,3. Met behulp van een logistisch regressiemodel dat de behandelingsarm, randomisatiestratificatiefactor en baseline SDAI als continue variabele en puntschatting van aangepaste OK's omvat, werd een overeenkomstig 95%-BI en p-waarde verstrekt. SDAI totaal scorebereik: 0 tot 86. SDAI <= 3,3 geeft ziekteremissie aan en SDAI >26 = hoge ziekteactiviteit.

De Modified Total Sharp Score (mTSS) wordt berekend als de bilaterale som van erosie- en Joint Space Narrowing (JSN)-scores voor alle gewrichten van de handen en voeten. Het scorebereik voor mTSS is 0-448. Hogere scores duiden op meer gewrichtsschade. De gemiddelde verandering ten opzichte van baseline in TSS met behulp van gemodificeerde Sharp/van der Heijide-scores werd beoordeeld met behulp van een op rang gebaseerd niet-parametrisch ANCOVA-model.

Percentage deelnemers in Booleaanse remissie in week 52

Booleaanse remissie wordt gedefinieerd als aantal pijnlijke gewrichten minder dan 1, aantal gezwollen gewrichten minder dan 1, CRP minder dan 1 mg/dl, globale patiëntbeoordeling minder dan 1 (op een VAS-schaal van 0 tot 10). Voor dit eindpunt werd logistische regressie gebruikt.
