Fase III gerandomiseerde studie van gehypofractioneerde versus conventioneel gefractioneerde gelijktijdige chemo-radiotherapie voor kleincellige longkanker met beperkte ziekte
Het doel van deze studie is om te bepalen of gehypofractioneerde gelijktijdige chemo-radiotherapie dezelfde efficiëntie heeft als conventioneel gefractioneerde gelijktijdige chemo-radiotherapie bij kleincellige longkanker met beperkte ziekte.

Voor patiënten met kleincellige longkanker met beperkte ziekte zal 45Gy/15F radiotherapie met gelijktijdige chemotherapie worden gebruikt in de experimentele arm.
Terwijl 60Gy/30F radiotherapie met gelijktijdige chemotherapie zal worden gebruikt in de controle-arm.
Zowel de overleving als de toxiciteit van de twee armen zullen worden geobserveerd en vergeleken.

Deelname Criteria
Onderzoekers zoeken naar mensen die aan een bepaalde beschrijving voldoen, de zogenaamde geschiktheidscriteria. Enkele voorbeelden van deze criteria zijn iemands algemene gezondheidstoestand of eerdere behandelingen.

Inclusiecriteria:
- 18~70 jaar oud, ECOG 0-2
- patiënten met histologisch of cytologisch bewezen kleincellige longkanker
- Beperkte ziekte (LD), werd gekenmerkt door tumoren beperkt tot één hemithorax. Het kan ipsilaterale hilus, zowel het mediastinum als beide supraclaviculaire knopen omvatten. Metastatische lymfeklieren werden gedefinieerd als lymfeklieren met een korte diameter van meer dan 1 cm of FDG-opname in PET. De dikte van pleurale effusie was minder dan 1 cm, tenzij kwaadaardige pleurale effusie cytologisch werd aangetoond. Kortom, stadium I-IIIB exclusief de patiënten met longmetastasen moet worden gedefinieerd als LD volgens AJCC kankerstadiëring 7e editie.
- Geen progressie na 2 cycli chemotherapie met EP.
- Geen voorgeschiedenis van antitumorbehandeling.
- Geen ernstige inwendige ziekten en geen orgaandisfunctie

Uitsluitingscriteria:
- Kwaadaardige tumoren van andere plaatsen. Niet-melanome huidkanker en cervicaal carcinoom in situ werden niet opgenomen indien geneesbaar.
- Actieve hartziekte of acuut myocardinfarct gebeuren in zes maanden.
- Psychiatrische geschiedenis.
- Zwangere vrouw of vrouw die borstvoeding moet geven of vrouw met positief choriongonadotrofine (HCG)
- Ongecontroleerde diabetes of hypertensie
- Interstitiële longontsteking of actieve longfibrose
- Acute bacteriële of schimmelinfectie
- Oraal of intraveneus gebruik van steroïden
