Preoperatieve galwegdrainage bij kwaadaardige galwegobstructie - een observationele cohortstudie
Het eerste alarmerende symptoom van een maligniteit van de alvleesklier of periampullaire tumor kan obstructieve geelzucht (OJ) zijn.
Pancreato-duodenectomie (PD) in combinatie met oncologische behandeling kan in resecabele gevallen een lange ziektevrije overleving opleveren.
De literatuur over preoperatieve galdrainage is controversieel.
Het doel van deze multicenter, prospectieve observationele cohortstudie is om de rol van preoperatieve drainage te onderzoeken en deze te vergelijken met chirurgie alleen.

Studie Bevolking
De onderzoekspopulatie zal bestaan uit patiënten met de diagnose maligne galwegobstructie die voldoen aan alle inclusiecriteria maar geen exclusiecriteria.
Alle patiënten die voorafgaand aan de operatie in de deelnemende ziekenhuizen worden opgenomen met een maligne galwegobstructie met of zonder galinterventie, worden beoordeeld op geschiktheid
Beschrijving
Inclusiecriteria:
- Patiënten ≥ 18 jaar
- PB van kwaadaardige oorsprong (pancreaskop of periampullaire tumor)
- Totaal bilirubinegehalte ≥ 40 μmol per liter
- Ondertekende schriftelijke geïnformeerde toestemming
Uitsluitingscriteria:
- Bewezen metastase
- Irreseceerbare tumor
- Neo-adjuvante chemotherapie
- Co-bestaande maligniteit
- Zwangerschap
- Patiënten niet geschikt voor resectie
