Handtrainingsapparaat voor cognitieve zorg

Eerdere studies gaven aan dat auditieve stimulatie als extern signaal een positieve invloed zou kunnen hebben op de sensomotorische synchronisatie.
Bovendien zijn, volgens eerdere rapporten, afgezien van traditionele interventies, gedigitaliseerde game-gebaseerde apparaten, zoals FTOMBVG, gunstig voor de hersenactivatie bij ouderen.

Bovendien leidt een verbeterde controle en coördinatie van de vingerkracht tot een betere handvaardigheid en wordt aangenomen dat dit uiteindelijk de levensonafhankelijkheid verbetert bij gezonde ouderen en ouderen met cognitieve achteruitgang.
Daarom heeft deze studie tot doel een geavanceerd systeem te ontwikkelen, gebaseerd op het vorige, dat revalidatie van de handfunctie, cognitieve training en emotioneel comfort kan bieden voor ouderen of mensen die lijden aan cognitieve tekorten.
Ze kunnen hun vingerkrachtcontrole of visuele motorsynchronisatie verbeteren door middel van muziek die tijdens het spelproces wordt ingebed.

Inclusiecriteria:
- Mogelijkheid om te communiceren in het Mandarijn Chinees of Taiwanees
- MCI, volgens klinische neurologische beoordeling, Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA):≦25&≧19
- Zelfstandig ADL kunnen uitvoeren, geen handfunctiebeperking
- Vrijwillige deelname en mogelijkheid om het geïnformeerde toestemmingsformulier te ondertekenen
Uitsluitingscriteria:
- De ziekte van Alzheimer, gediagnosticeerd door artsen of die voldoet aan de diagnostische criteria voor dementie
- Artsendiagnose van een beroerte
- Elke psychische aandoening of gedragsproblemen en het onvermogen om met de trainer samen te werken
- Visusstoornissen of handziekten die resulteren in het onvermogen om met de vingers te drukken
- het afgelopen jaar andere cognitieve of fysieke training heeft gevolgd
- enige gezichts-, gehoor- of communicatiestoornis

Experimenteel: Op muziek gebaseerde speltraining
De proefpersonen wordt gevraagd om op hun vinger te drukken terwijl een reeks boogschietdoelen voortdurend naar beneden valt en langs de onderste regel de beats van de muziekmelodie op Tipr volgt.

De software is gekoppeld aan een aangepaste versie van Frets on Fire (FOF), een open source computerspel vergelijkbaar met Guitar Hero.

De achtergrondmuziek wordt uitgeschakeld.

De Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) is ontworpen als een snel screeningsinstrument voor milde cognitieve stoornissen.
Het beoordeelt verschillende cognitieve domeinen: kortetermijngeheugen, visueel-ruimtelijke vaardigheden, uitvoerende functies, aandacht, concentratie en werkgeheugen, taal, oriëntatie op tijd en plaats.
De gevoeligheid van MoCA voor het detecteren van MCI is 90%.
