The study of cannabis use on synaptic density in older adults

The research company Yale University is conducting the clinical trial SV2A in Older Adults.

The aim of the study is to examine the effect of cannabis use on brain synaptic density among older adults using [11C]UCB-J PET imaging.

It is planned to include 24 participants.

Actual study start date is July 6, 2022. The researchers expect to complete the study by June 30, 2023.

One primary outcome measure is Hippocampal synaptic density, Measure of synaptic density in the hippocampus.
