Un estudio comparativo, multicéntrico y aleatorizado que evalúa la seguridad y eficacia de RESPIMER® Netiflow® versus soluciones salinas durante la irrigación nasal posterior a la etmoidectomía bilateral en el tratamiento de la poliposis nasal.

Descripción detallada
Este es un estudio comparativo entre dos tratamientos postoperatorios después de la cirugía del seno etmoidal. El propósito de este estudio es comparar el efecto de la solución RESPIMER® NetiFlow® en la reparación del tejido nasal frente a la solución salina (0,9 % de NaCl), el tratamiento estándar.
El tipo de cirugía seleccionada para este estudio es la etmoidectomía endoscópica total. Esta es una cirugía estándar de uso frecuente que requiere limpieza nasal durante un promedio de 28 días. Este proceso permite la regeneración del revestimiento epitelial nasal de la herida (áreas de hueso expuesto), así como la curación de la inflamación y cicatrización debidas a la cirugía.
El seguimiento dura 28 días con 4 visitas (D7, D14, D21 y D28).
RESPIMER® NetiFlow®: dispositivo de clase I, con marcado CE, en la indicación de cuidado postoperatorio de senos paranasales.

Descripción
Criterios de inclusión:
- Hombres o mujeres entre 18 y 65 años de edad
Sujeto con necesidad de cirugía de senos paranasales como etmoidectomía total bilateral mediante abordaje endonasal endoscópico cuya patología sea consecuencia de:
- Poliposis sinonasal sola
- Poliposis nasosinusal asociada a asma y/o intolerancia a los AINE
- Consentimiento libre e informado por escrito
- Afiliado o beneficiario de un programa de seguridad social
Criterio de exclusión:
- Tratamiento con corticoides orales desde hace menos de 2 meses
- Mujeres premenopáusicas que no usan métodos anticonceptivos efectivos (dispositivo oral o intrauterino)
- Mujeres embarazadas o lactantes
- Diabetes no controlada (no tratada o estabilizada por el tratamiento)
- estado seropositivo
- Enfermedades autoinmunes que afectan a la nariz y/o los senos paranasales, disfunciones inmunitarias (granulomatosis de Wegener, síndrome de Churg-Strauss, Inmunodeficiencia Común Variable, sarcoidosis...), o enfermedades malignas (histología poco clara)
- Todas las contraindicaciones de RESPIMER® NetiFlow®
- Todas las enfermedades que resultan en dificultad para toser o tragar
- Tratamiento de radiación en curso o pasado en la cabeza y el cuello
- Quimioterapia en curso o reciente (dentro de un período de tres meses)
- Sujetos que usan anticoagulantes
- Sujetos que participan en otro estudio que incluye un período de exclusión que coincide con el período de preinclusión de este estudio
- Sujetos puestos bajo tutela judicial
- Sujetos que padezcan problemas físicos o psicológicos severos y cuya condición pueda, según el investigador, afectar el cumplimiento del estudio.

Una comparación de dos productos utilizados para la limpieza de la cavidad nasal, a razón de 4 lavados/día (240 ml por lavado), como cuidado posoperatorio local después de la cirugía endoscópica de los senos paranasales. Esta cirugía, conocida como etmoidectomía, tiene como objetivo mejorar la ventilación de los senos nasales, tratar el área crónicamente infectada y eliminar los pólipos que causan la obstrucción nasal. Se proporcionará a los pacientes información detallada sobre el propósito de la irrigación nasal, así como sobre cómo usar y limpiar el dispositivo, al momento de la inclusión. El procedimiento de lavado nasal será el siguiente:
