魚油には、虚血性心疾患、関節リウマチ、炎症性腸疾患などの幅広い臨床分野において多くの実証済みの利点があります。
最近の研究では、入院期間の短縮、再手術率の低下、抗生物質の静脈内投与の必要性の軽減など、外科患者に対する魚油の静脈内投与の有益な効果が報告されています。 これらは部分的には魚油の抗炎症作用によるものです。
魚油はガンに対しても有効であるという証拠があり、大規模な集団研究ではオメガ3が豊富な食事はガンの発生率の低下と関連していることが示されており、インビトロおよび動物実験では魚油の抗腫瘍効果が証明されています。

この研究は、パイロット研究で肝結腸直腸転移に対するオメガ-3 FA の効果を評価することを目的としています。 このパイロット研究には、切除可能な肝結腸直腸腺癌転移を有する患者 20 名が選択されます。 10人の患者は魚油を含まない完全非経口栄養(TPN)を受け(対照)、10人の患者はTPN中に脂質エマルションを含む魚油を摂取する。
腫瘍の血管新生の変化(血管新生の増加は肝結腸直腸転移の予後不良と関連している)は、デジタル造影MRIスキャンを使用して調査され、血管新生のマーカーは患者の血液および切除腫瘍サンプルで調査されます。

- X線検査および腹腔鏡検査による立派な肝結腸直腸転移の診断
除外基準:
- すでに魚油サプリメントを摂取している患者
- 魚、卵、大豆タンパク質、または脂質エマルジョン内の活性物質や成分に対する過敏症
- 高脂血症
- 重度の血液凝固障害
- 重度の腎不全 (クレアチニン >200)
- 注入療法に対する一般的な禁忌 - 肺水腫、水分過剰症、非代償性心不全
- 不安定な病状 - コントロールされていない糖尿病、急性心筋梗塞、脳卒中、塞栓性疾患、代謝性アシドーシス、敗血症、膵炎
- 従来の術前化学療法を受けている患者。
