Klinisch en genetisch onderzoek van patiëntencohort Ushersyndroom in Europa (EURUSH)
Europese onderzoeksprojecten over zeldzame ziekten gedreven door jonge onderzoekers
Deze studie heeft tot doel Usher-patiënten te karakteriseren om deze gegevens te correleren met genetische informatie.
Taken:
- Standaardisatie en verbetering van de diagnose van het syndroom van Usher: verfijn en werk speciale tests uit van de visuele en otologische functie in samenhang met het genotype die het mogelijk maken om de belangrijkste markers voor de progressie van de ziekte van Usher en het therapeutisch effect te bepalen.
- Voer genotype- en fenotypecorrelaties uit bij patiënten met het Ushersyndroom
- Ontwikkel en onderhoud een database voor fenotypisch en genotypisch goed gekarakteriseerde patiëntencohorten, geschikt voor toekomstige therapeutische onderzoeken

Beschrijving
Inclusiecriteria :
- Klinische kenmerken voor USH1, USH2 en USH3 zoals gedefinieerd door het Ushersyndroom-consortium;
- Geïnformeerde toestemming en toestemming om deel te nemen aan het onderzoek;
- Afstand best gecorrigeerde gezichtsscherpte ≥ 0,1.
Uitsluitingscriteria:
- Systemische pathologieën of ernstige oculaire pathologieën, systemisch of plaatselijk medicatiegebruik en/of andere otolaryngologische pathologieën die de resultaten kunnen besmetten;
- Onwil om een bloedmonster af te staan;
- De studieprocedures niet willen en/of kunnen ondergaan.

Protocoloverzicht: patiënten ondergaan klinische en moleculaire studies. Deze omvatten uitgebreide oftalmologische onderzoeken (best gecorrigeerde gezichtsscherpte, refractie, tonometrie, kleurwaarneming, gezichtsveldtesten, pupillografie*, full-field electroretinogram, multifocaal electroretinogram, autofluorescentiebeeldvorming, optische coherentietomografie, adaptieve optica*), audiologische en vestibulaire evaluatie en het verkrijgen van bloedmonsters voor genetische analyse. *alleen indien beschikbaar |
