Gerandomiseerde gecontroleerde open-label trial.
Duur: 6 maanden.
Groepen: Controlegroep (standaard follow-up) en Interventiegroep (één wekelijkse revalidatiesessie met behulp van een paard).
Deelnemers: 30 kinderen, 4 tot 18 jaar oud, na 6 maanden ontslag uit de kankerbehandeling met aantasting van het zenuwstelsel.

Inclusiecriteria:
- Kinderen tussen 4 en 18 jaar die kanker hadden gehad met aantasting van het centrale zenuwstelsel
- Met of zonder motorische, functionele en/of cognitieve stoornissen of neurologische stoornissen als gevolg van hun basisprobleem of als gevolg van de therapeutische procedures, met enige mate van handicap
- Meer dan 6 maanden na ontslag oncologie (chemotherapie of radiotherapie)
Uitsluitingscriteria:
- Immunodepressie
- Hypotonie met ernstige bekkeninstabiliteit waardoor veilig op het paard zitten niet mogelijk is
- Gewicht groter dan 80 kg.
- Fobie voor paarden

Scorehandleiding en software worden geleverd door de beoordelingsontwikkelaars; normgerelateerde scores (T-scores en percentielrangen) zijn beschikbaar in de scorerapporten, evenals interpretaties van sterke en zwakke punten en doelgedragingen voor interventie (gemiddelde van 50 en standaarddeviatie van 10; voor de gedragsprobleemschalen zijn scores boven de 60 als problematisch beschouwd; voor de adaptieve schalen worden scores onder de 40 als problematisch beschouwd).
