GUARD-AF: Redusere hjerneslag ved screening for udiagnostisert atrialflimmer hos eldre individer

Inklusjonskriterier:

  • Menn og kvinner minst 70 år som er nye eller etablerte deltakere i primærhelsetjenesten
  • Villig til å gi samtykke til å delta i studien og å bruke personlig helseinformasjon for å finne endepunkter fra Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Medicare Claims Database og for å få tilgang til data fra helsejournaler
  • Helseforsikring fra Medicare Parts A & B (Medicare Fee-for-service)

Ekskluderingskriterier:

  • Oral antikoagulasjon (OAC) for enhver indikasjon på tidspunktet for registrering
  • Historie om atrieflimmer (AF) eller atrieflutter (AFL) som dokumentert i deltakerens gjeldende medisinske problemliste
  • Enhver tilstand etterforskeren anser som en kontraindikasjon for OAC, f.eks. blødning som krevde legehjelp eller alvorlig nedsatt nyrefunksjon
  • Enhver tilstand etterforskeren vurderer vil forhindre overholdelse av studieinstruksjonene
  • Implanterte hjerteenheter (pacemakere, implanterbare hjertedefibrillatorer eller hjerteresynkroniseringsterapi og implanterbare sløyfeopptakere)
  • Historie med allergi mot lim
  • Ikke i stand til å bruke Zio®XT-skjermen eller ikke i stand til å bruke skjermen alene eller ved hjelp av en omsorgsperson
