人们早就知道阿尔茨海默氏病 (AD) 会增加癫痫发作的风险,早期估计表明 AD 患者至少有 10-22% 的风险至少发生一次无端癫痫发作,癫痫发作率比一般人高 8 到 10 倍人口。 回顾性数据表明,临床癫痫发作和脑电图 (EEG) 异常放电可能聚集在认知衰退的周围,甚至先于认知衰退的发作。 通过扩展脑电图和/或 1 小时脑磁图 (MEG),高达 42% 的 AD 患者有亚临床癫痫发作或癫痫样放电的证据,其中三分之二仅在睡眠期间被发现。 最近的证据还发现,认知障碍性癫痫发作 (47%) 和其他非惊厥症状 (55%) 的发生率比之前报道的要高得多,包括牙买加似曾相识、似曾相识、感觉现象、言语停滞/失语和失忆症。

- MRI 完成,没有排除标准中概述的潜在癫痫病灶的证据
排除标准:
