Evaluación de la terapia de spa en el tratamiento de la fibromialgia: un estudio multicéntrico abierto, aleatorizado y controlado
La fibromialgia es un problema de salud común que causa dolor y sensibilidad generalizados (sensibilidad al tacto). El dolor y la sensibilidad tienden a aparecer y desaparecer, y se mueven por el cuerpo. No hay cura para la fibromialgia. La terapia complementaria y alternativa, como la acupuntura, la quiropráctica y la terapia de masajes, pueden ser útiles para controlar los síntomas de la fibromialgia. Muchos de estos tratamientos no se han probado bien en pacientes con fibromialgia. La fibromialgia afecta del 3 al 4 % de la población general y al 14 % de los pacientes con enfermedad reumatológica. La fibromialgia es más común en mujeres 90 % en muchos estudios. La mayoría de las veces comienza en la edad adulta media. Se presentó una evolución crónica para los pacientes Fibromiálgicos con una alteración importante de la calidad de vida.
Thermalgi es un ensayo aleatorizado, multicéntrico y abierto que tiene como objetivo evaluar los efectos de la terapia de spa en reumatología sobre la evolución de la discapacidad en la vida diaria de pacientes con fibromialgia.

THERMALGI es un ensayo controlado, aleatorizado, multicéntrico y abierto que tiene como objetivo evaluar los efectos de la terapia termal en reumatología sobre la evolución de la discapacidad en la vida diaria de pacientes con fibromialgia.
Los pacientes con fibromialgia (Criterios del American College of Rheumatology) y una puntuación FIQ (Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire) > 39 serán aleatorizados.

Descripción
Criterios de inclusión:
- ambos sexos, pacientes mayores de 18 años
- disponible para un tratamiento de spa en reumatología durante 18 días (spa inmediato o tardío) y un período de seguimiento de 12 meses
- con fibromialgia (criterios ACR 2010) durante al menos 1 año y con un tratamiento estable durante al menos 3 meses
- con una puntuación FIQ > o = 39 (fibromialgia de moderada a grave)
- voluntario para participar en el estudio, formulario de consentimiento informado firmado después de la información apropiada
- afiliación al sistema de seguridad social o equivalente
Criterio de exclusión:
- contraindicación del tratamiento de spa (cáncer en curso, trastornos psiquiátricos, inmunodeficiencia)
- sin tratamiento de spa previo en reumatología dentro de 1 año antes de la inclusión
- variación sustancial de la cobertura terapéutica en los 3 meses anteriores a la inclusión (cambio de clase de medicamentos, puesta en marcha de un réentrenamiento en el esfuerzo o una técnica cognitivo-conductual)
- sujeto con otra enfermedad crónica grave (asma grave, insuficiencia cardiaca grave, insuficiencia respiratoria, renal o hepática, enfermedad reumática evolutiva, colitis inflamatoria...)
- sujeto que participa en otro estudio clínico intervencionista
- embarazo, parto o lactancia
- ninguna enfermedad psiquiátrica o situación social que impida el cumplimiento del estudio
