American internet company gets permission to start a clinical trial of an evaluation of a neurostimulation device for Insomnia

ProofPilot is recruiting patients for the clinical trial of Evaluation of a Neurostimulation Device for Insomnia.

ProofPilot is an American internet company with offices in New York City that maintains a research platform allowing users to design, manage, launch and participate in research studies. The software as a service product is described as a DIY (do it yourself) platform to run research studies like clinical trials, randomized controlled trials, and longitudinal outcome studies.

The aim of this tudy is to examine the safety and effectiveness of the Fisher Wallace Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulator Device (CES) for the treatment of insomnia characterized by difficulties with sleep maintenance using a 20-minute treatment right before bedtime.

Among the criteria that allow participation, the following are indicated:

  • Diagnosis of insomnia by a medical physician.
  • Have not contemplated suicide in the past year.
  • Not under medical supervision for other serious medical condition.
  • Not taking opioids.
  • No pain or headaches that interrupt sleep.
  • Not participating in any other sleep study

and others.
