L'objectif principal de cet essai est de comparer le kit de test des ganglions lymphatiques mammaires (BLN) GeneSearch™ à une section pathologique permanente, afin d'évaluer la sensibilité et la spécificité cliniques du kit de test des ganglions lymphatiques mammaires GeneSearch™ (BLN) dans la détection des ganglions lymphatiques sentinelles axillaires. métastases chez les patientes atteintes d'un cancer du sein.
L'objectif secondaire de cet essai est d'évaluer la valeur prédictive positive et la valeur prédictive négative du kit de test des ganglions lymphatiques mammaires (BLN) GeneSearch™ lorsqu'il est utilisé dans la détection des métastases des ganglions lymphatiques sentinelles axillaires chez les patientes atteintes d'un cancer du sein.

Critère d'intégration:
- Diagnostiqué précédemment comme un cancer du sein
- patient devant subir une dissection du ganglion sentinelle
- 18 ans ou plus
- femme ou homme, et
- capable et désireux de donner son consentement pour participer à l'étude
Critère d'exclusion:
- Les patients prenant part à d'autres études de recherche qui interféreraient avec leur pleine participation à cette étude, ou
- Lymphadénectomie sentinelle ou axillaire partielle antérieure du même côté du corps

La moitié de chaque ganglion lymphatique sentinelle subira un examen pathologique de routine comme pratique normale.

Expérimental: Test GeneSearch BLN
La moitié de chaque ganglion lymphatique sentinelle subira un test GeneSearch BLN.
|
Chacun des ganglions lymphatiques sentinelles sera divisé en deux selon le schéma de coupe. La moitié du ganglion lymphatique sentinelle sera testée en utilisant la méthode pathologique de routine comme pratique normale, la moitié du ganglion subira un test GeneSearch BLN.
