EFFORT Ultrasound (米国) は、親の EFFORT 試験のサブ研究です。集中治療室にいる4000人の栄養的に高リスクの重症患者を対象とした、多施設、実用的、ボランティア主導、レジストリベース、無作為化臨床試験。 患者は 2 つの治療グループのうちの 1 つに無作為に割り付けられます: 通常のケア処方 (≤1.2 g/kg/d) またはタンパク質のより高い処方 (≥2.2 g/kg/d)。 患者が無作為に割り付けられたタンパク質の量以外に、無作為に割り付けられた患者に提供される残りのケアは、ICU 提供者の裁量に委ねられます。

- - 18歳以上
- 栄養学的に「ハイリスク」(以下の基準のいずれかを満たす)
- 低 (≤25) または高 BMI (≥35)
- 中等度から重度の栄養失調 (地域の評価による定義)。 サイトがこの決定を行う手段を文書化し、評価の要素 (減量の履歴、経口摂取量の減少の履歴など) を取得します。
