Het doel van deze studie is om nivolumab plus neoadjuvante gemcitabine/cisplatine (GC) chemotherapie, gevolgd door postoperatieve voortzetting van immuno-oncologie (IO) therapie, te vergelijken met neoadjuvante GC chemotherapie alleen bij volwassen deelnemers met niet eerder behandelde spierinvasieve blaaskanker. (MIBC).

Inclusiecriteria:

  • De deelnemer moet door zijn/haar oncoloog en/of uroloog in aanmerking komen voor een radiale cystectomie (RC) en moet akkoord gaan met het ondergaan van een radiale cystectomie (RC) na voltooiing van de neoadjuvante therapie.
  • Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) Prestatiestatus 0 of 1

Uitsluitingscriteria:

  • Klinisch bewijs van positieve lymfeklier(en) (LN) (≥ 10 mm in korte as) of gemetastaseerde blaaskanker
  • Voorafgaande systemische therapie, bestralingstherapie of operatie voor blaaskanker anders dan transurethrale resectie van blaastumor (TURBT) of biopsieën is ook niet toegestaan
