Effect van heupabductoren versus knie-extensorversterking op pijn, functie en quadriceps isometrische kracht bij artrose van de knie
Dit onderzoek zal proberen de volgende vraag te beantwoorden:
Zou versterking van heupabductoren gelijk zijn aan, of effectiever zijn dan, versterking van knie-extensoren bij het verbeteren van pijn, functie en knie-extensoren isometrische kracht bij patiënten met artrose van de knie
Studie Overzicht
Gedetailleerde beschrijving
Er zullen in totaal 70 patiënten met knieartrose worden geworven. Alle patiënten die aan het onderzoek zullen deelnemen, zullen worden doorverwezen door orthopedisten. Patiënten met artrose van de knie zullen worden opgenomen met een leeftijdscategorie van 50-70 jaar. Ze worden gerandomiseerd in 2 groepen; heupabductoren versterkende (HAS) groep a krijgt heupabductoren versterkende oefeningen, en knie-extensoren versterkende (KES) groep krijgt quadriceps versterkende oefeningen.
Alle patiënten die aan de studiecriteria zullen voldoen, krijgen een volledige kennis van de doelstellingen en procedures van de studie.
Inclusiecriteria:
- Patiënten met knieartrose graad II-III Kellgren-Lawrence-scores
- Hun leeftijd is 50-70 [Wang et al.,2019].
- Lichaamsmassa-index (BMI) 25-30.
Uitsluitingscriteria:
- Patiënten die een chirurgische ingreep in de knie en/of heup hebben ondergaan.
- Breuk in de onderste ledematen.
- Maligniteit
- Alle bijbehorende ligamentaire letsels in knie of enkel.
- Ruggengraat letsel.
- Hormonale disbalans of hormonale therapie
- Knie-injectie binnen de laatste 6 maanden voorafgaand aan het onderzoek. Uitkomstparameters waaronder Quadriceps Muscle Strength, de Arabische versie van Western Ontario en McMaster Universities Arthritis Index vragenlijst totale score en 3 subschalen en Timed Up and Go testscore
