Este estudio tratará de responder a la siguiente pregunta:
¿Sería el fortalecimiento de los abductores de la cadera igual o más efectivo que el fortalecimiento de los extensores de la rodilla para mejorar el dolor, la función y la fuerza isométrica de los extensores de la rodilla en pacientes con osteoartritis de rodilla?

Descripción detallada
Se reclutarán un total de 70 pacientes con Artrosis de rodilla. Todos los pacientes que participarán en el estudio serán derivados por ortopedistas. Se incluirán pacientes con artrosis de rodilla con rangos de edad de 50-70 años. Se distribuirán aleatoriamente en 2 grupos; el grupo de fortalecimiento de abductores de cadera (HAS) recibirá ejercicios de fortalecimiento de abductores de cadera, y el grupo de fortalecimiento de extensores de rodilla (KES) recibirá ejercicios de fortalecimiento de cuádriceps.
Todos los pacientes que cumplan con los criterios del estudio obtendrán un conocimiento completo de los objetivos y procedimientos del estudio.
Criterios de inclusión:
- Pacientes con Osteoartritis de rodilla grado II- III Puntajes de Kellgren-Lawrence
- Su edad es de 50 a 70 años [Wang et al., 2019].
- Índice de masa corporal (IMC) 25-30.
Criterio de exclusión:
- Pacientes intervenidos quirúrgicamente en rodilla y/o cadera.
- Fractura en los miembros inferiores.
- Malignidad
- Cualquier lesión ligamentosa asociada en rodilla o tobillo.
- Lesión de la médula espinal.
- Desequilibrio hormonal o en terapia hormonal
- Inyección en la rodilla en los últimos 6 meses antes del estudio. Parámetros de resultado que incluyen la fuerza muscular del cuádriceps, la versión árabe del cuestionario del Índice de Artritis de las Universidades de Western Ontario y McMaster, la puntuación total y 3 subescalas y la puntuación de la prueba Timed Up and Go
